How the price is worked out

Each paver has a rate per square foot for each package. In the sample, a 12 × 20 ft (240 sq ft) concrete paver patio is $18 or $22 per sq ft ($4,320 or $5,280). Removing grass is $1.50 per sq ft ($360) and two steps are $350 each ($700). Polymeric sand and sealer adds $1.50 per sq ft ($360) to Standard; Premium already includes it, so it shows as “Included”. Totals are rounded to the nearest $50. That gives $5,750 and $6,350 before tax.

Removing an old concrete patio is $4.50 per sq ft, and a contrasting border is $12 per foot. Sloped ground adds 15% of the patio, and a narrow path with no machine access adds 15% of the patio, removal, border and steps for hand work. Standing water is priced after a visit while the patio is still priced. If the customer doesn't know the size, the estimate assumes 240 sq ft and says so; if they aren't sure about the slope, it shows a range.

What you can change

  • Rates per square foot by paver type, for each package.
  • Removal, border, step, and sand and sealer prices.
  • The slope and access percentages.
  • Your minimum job price and rounding.

What still needs your visit

Drainage, the soil under the base and buried services. The estimate shows its assumptions and says the price is preliminary.
