Embed code Recommended
Two lines you paste where the estimator should appear. It loads on that page and sizes itself to fit.
Needs: a website editor that lets you add HTML or code to a page.
How to add the embed codeHosted link
Your estimator's own web address. Link to it from a button, an email, a social post or an ad.
Needs: nothing beyond being able to add a link.
How to share your linkCommon website types
| Your website | How to add it |
|---|---|
| WordPress | Paste the embed code into a Custom HTML block. Step-by-step guide. Some hosted plans remove code; use the link if so. |
| Website builders | Use the builder's HTML, Embed or Code element. Some builders only offer this on certain plans; if yours doesn't, use the hosted link as a button. |
| Custom-built sites (any language, e.g. PHP or ASP.NET) | Your developer adds the embed code to the page template, like any other HTML. No server software, plugin or database change is needed. |
| No website, or one you can't edit | Share the hosted link. It works on its own. |
What to expect
- Works on phones, tablets and computers in current browsers.
- Separate from your site. The estimator runs in its own frame, so your website's styles and plugins don't interfere with it, and it can't see the rest of your page.
- Customers' details stay with you. Answers and enquiries go to your Estimator Studio account only.
- Publishing is required. Drafts never appear on websites; a published estimator needs an active subscription.
- We haven't tested every builder and plan. If something doesn't work on yours, tell us at the contact address below and use the hosted link in the meantime.
