Add your estimator to your website with the embed code

The embed code is two short lines. Paste them where you want the estimator to appear and it loads in that spot, sized to fit its content.

Before you start

  • Your estimator is published (you need an active subscription and a confirmed email address). Drafts don't show on websites.
  • You can edit your website, or you can send the code to whoever does (see below).

Steps

  1. Sign in and open your estimator, then choose Publish in the left menu.
  2. Under Put it on your website, select Copy next to Website code.
  3. In your website editor, open the page where the estimator should go and add an element that accepts HTML. Different builders call it Custom HTML, Embed, Code or HTML.
  4. Paste the code into that element and save or publish the page.
  5. Open the page as a visitor would (signed out of your website editor) and answer the questions once to check it.

The code looks like this:

Good to know

  • Your website stays separate. The estimator runs in its own frame. It doesn't read or change anything else on your page, and your customers' answers go only to your Estimator Studio account.
  • Changes appear automatically. When you publish a new version, the same code shows it. You don't need to paste anything again.
  • One code per estimator. You can use the same code on more than one page.
  • If your website only accepts an iframe, use the iframe code under Website builder only accepts an iframe? on the Publish screen. It works the same but has a fixed height, so it may scroll inside its box.
  • If your website doesn't allow code at all, share the hosted link instead, for example as a “Get a price” button.

If someone else looks after your website

Copy the website code and send it to them with a note like this:

Please add this code to the [page name] page where you'd like our price estimator to appear. It's a standard embed (a div and an async script that creates an iframe), it doesn't need any plugin or server changes, and it sizes itself.
