How the price is worked out
Each package has an installed price for the pump and check valve: $650 (Pedestal pump), $900 (Submersible pump) or $1,900 (Submersible + battery backup) in the sample. Removing the old pump adds $80 and a high-water alarm adds $150; the battery-backup package already includes both, so they show as “Included”. That gives $880, $1,130 and $1,900 before tax.
A new pit is priced by the floor: $1,500 in an unfinished basement, $1,900 in a finished basement or $900 in a crawl space. A new discharge pipe to the outside ($450) is added for new and existing pits, and for a replacement when the old pipe needs replacing. A missing outlet near the pit adds $300. Pedestal pumps are ruled out in crawl spaces, where they don't fit. Connecting a new pit to the drain tile, if it's needed, is priced after a visit while the rest is still priced.
