How the price is worked out
Each package has a price by kitchen size. In the sample, a medium kitchen is $14,000 (Refresh), $38,000 (Mid-range remodel) or $65,000 (Full remodel). Quartz countertops add $3,100 over laminate, 150 sq ft of new flooring at $12 per sq ft adds $1,800, and the two remodels add $600 for permits and inspections. Totals are rounded to the nearest $500. That gives $19,000, $43,500 and $70,500 before tax.
Countertop upgrades are priced by kitchen size. Installing the customer's own appliances ($600) or supplying a standard set ($6,500) is an option. A layout change rules out the refresh and is priced after a visit for the remodels. If the customer doesn't know the kitchen size, the estimate shows a range from medium to large; if they don't know the floor size, it uses a typical floor for their kitchen size.

The plumbing, gas and wiring behind the walls, the cabinet layout and the customer's selections. The estimate shows its assumptions and says the price is preliminary.
