How the price is worked out

Each fuel and tank size has its own installed price per package. In the sample, a 50-gallon gas tank is $2,600 (Standard) or $3,150 (Premium). Removing and disposing of the old tank adds $150 to Standard, but it's already part of Premium, so Premium shows it as “Included”. That gives $2,750 and $3,150 before tax.

Attic installations, a power-vent upgrade and extras like an expansion tank or drain pan are added only when they apply. The venting question only appears for gas tanks. If the customer doesn't know their tank size, the estimate uses a stated 50-gallon assumption. If they don't know the fuel type, it asks for an assessment.

What you can change

  • The tank sizes and fuel types you install, and each installed price.
  • Package names, what each includes, and your warranty wording.
  • Add-ons, and which situations go to an assessment.
  • What “I don't know” does for each question.

What it doesn't do

It doesn't decide whether an installation is safe or meets code, and it doesn't add permit costs you haven't set. Your visit confirms the venting, connections and final price.
