Fictional business and sample prices. Preliminary estimate based on the answers; final pricing follows an assessment.

Questions included

  1. What do you need? Replace existing furnace · Change fuel or system
  2. Where is your furnace? Basement Attic Closet
  3. Does the venting need work? Yes · No “I don't know” → shows a price range
  4. Which thermostat would you like? Standard Smart

Prices you supply

  • Installed furnace Your installed price for each package
  • Attic installation A fixed extra when it applies
  • Venting work A fixed extra when it applies
  • Smart thermostat A fixed extra when it applies; included in Premium
  • Assessment rule: Fuel conversionChanging fuel or system needs a site assessment.

How the packages are priced

Each package has its own installed price. In the sample, an attic installation adds $600 and venting work adds $350 to every package. A smart thermostat adds $250 to Essential and Comfort, but it's already part of Premium, so Premium shows it as “Included” and doesn't charge it twice.

If the customer doesn't know whether venting needs work, the estimate shows a range covering both possibilities rather than assuming “no”.

What you can change

  • Package names (the sample uses Essential, Comfort and Premium), descriptions and how many you offer.
  • Every price and add-on, and which packages include what.
  • Questions and wording, including when a question is shown.
  • Which answers lead to an assessment instead of a price.

What it doesn't do

It doesn't size equipment or replace a load calculation or site visit. It shows your packages and prices so customers arrive informed, and the result says the price is preliminary.
